The best Twitter accounts to follow for the final night of the RNC.

The Republican National Convention has stretched out for three disconcerting days now and has made every other piece of drama on television look lazy and unimaginative in comparison. Thursday evening promises to be the real humdinger, with possible future President of the United States Donald Trump delivering his address.

There’s going to be a lot to take in, but you don’t have to do it alone. Twitter’s full of thoughtful journalists, pundits, and personalities to help you know what’s going on. Here are a few of our favorites.

The Conservatives: Keeping the ship afloat

Some of them like Trump. Most of them don’t.

Ross Douthat: New York Times columnist and famous #NeverTrump champion.

Rick Wilson: Political know-it-all and incisive chronicler of Republicanism.

Mollie Hemmingway: Senior editor at The Federalist and scourge of liberal smugness.

The Liberals: Here for the popcorn

Erin Gloria Ryan: Deputy editor at Vocativ and professional deliverer of nyucks.

Andrew Kaczynski: Buzzfeed politics head and meticulous researcher of Trump hypocrisy.

Jon Favreau: Obama’s former speechwriter and current co-host of Keepin’ It 1600, the Ringer’s politics podcast.

Reporters: Just the facts

Maggie Haberman: New York Times presidential campaign correspondent.

Rosie Gray: Political reporter at Buzzfeed.

Sarah McCammon: Politics reporter at NPR.

The Jokers: Fiddling as Rome burns

Ezekiel Kweku: MTV staff writer and hyper-observant convention attendee.

Conor Friedersdorf: Atlantic staff writer and cunning wordsmith.

Political Math: Conservative goofball.

Have fun, everyone. Please be responsible with your drinking games.

New Pod Flow: Scribble & Jam, “Artist Matthew Perryman Jones”

Welcome to Episode IV. This week, Dan spends some time with his favorite singer/songwriter, Matthew Perryman Jones. Matthew and Dan talk about panic attacks, growing up in Atlanta, the way music is informed by pain and suffering and the way music gives freedom.

If you have spent any time watching television in the last decade you have most likely heard one of Mattew’s songs on shows like Grey’s Anatomy, Pretty Little Liars, One Tree Hill and many others. His insightful writing and voice have drawn comparisons to Leonard Cohen and Jeff Buckley, and he is on the short list of songwriters who skillfully weave the deeply philosophical and the vivid utterly human without ever losing sight of either.
